Bicycle License Fee Increase

Effective August 1, 2009, the cost for a new campus bicycle license (registration) will increase from $8.00 to $10.00. The cost for a license renewal will increase from $4.00 to $5.00. Both will still be valid through December 31 of the second year after the year the license is sold.

The cost of bicycle licenses at UC Davis has not increased since 2000. The increase is necessary to offset increases in the costs of operating the campus bicycle program.

All revenue from bicycle registration supports the Transportation and Parking Services (TAPS) Bicycle Program that promotes the safe, secure, and efficient use of bicycles on campus.

Bicycle registration is required for all bicycles operated on the UC Davis campus. You may register your bike at TAPS between the hours of 8 am - 5 pm, Monday through Friday. Registration is also available at three bike shops in Davis: B&L Bike Shop, Freewheeler Bicycle Center, and Ken's Bike and Ski.

For bicycle registration information, please contact the TAPS Bicycle Program Coordinator at (530) 752-BIKE or using our online contact form.
