Bicycle Commuter "A" Permit Option
Occasionally, even the most dedicated bicycle commuter may have a need to drive a vehicle to campus. All campus visitors may purchase daily parking permits at any Visitor Parking lots on campus for $6 per day. However, eligible UC Davis Faculty and Staff bicycle commuters are allowed to purchase up to twelve daily A permits every six months.
Guidelines
- How much are the daily "A" permits? $7.00 per use
- How many can I purchase in a year? Up to 12 uses can be purchased every six months - 24 total in one year
- Where are the "A" permits valid? These permits are valid in any non-restricted space and at meters after 5 pm
- Who is eligible? All Faculty and Staff bicycle commuters who are not enrolled in another Commuter Program and do not currently own a parking permit
- Where can I purchase the "A" permits? Permits may be purchased from the TAPS office
- Can I enroll in payroll deduction to purchase the daily "A" permits? These permits are not eligible for payroll deduction
- Do the permits expire? Permits are valid from the date of purchase until the end of the fiscal year
- Am I eligible for the motorist assistance services on the days that I choose to drive? Yes, all parking patrons are eligible for our motorist assistance services
