If you are traveling between the campus and the Med Center on business or commuting to work, why bother driving? The UCD/UCDMC Shuttle is a service for persons affiliated with the University of California - this includes faculty, staff, students, interns, volunteers, patients, and visitors. There is a charge for commuting staff, faculty and students to ride the Shuttle either with a one way ticket or monthly pass purchased in advance (Credit Cards Not Accepted).

Trips relating to business require a BUSINESS PASS each way. Business trips include medical students taking occasional courses at either location, volunteers, and university employees attending official functions. Patients and Visitors do not need a pass. Business Passes are available from UC Davis and UCDMC departments.
Departments may request passes in advance by requesting in writing on departmental letterhead. Requests from campus departments should be FAXed to (530) 752-8875 or mailed to the TAPS Alternative Transportation Coordinator. UCDMC departments should request passes from the PATS Office Manager at (916) 734-8117. Requests should include reason for passes, number of one-way or monthly passes, and a contact person & phone number.
Twenty-eight passenger buses are utilized in the program, which provides service from 5:30 a.m. to 6:45 p.m., Monday through Friday. Stops on the main campus are Lot 29, Lot 53, and Mrak Hall. At the Medical Center, passengers are picked up and dropped off at the bus shelter on the west side of the Professional Building in Lot 2.
Seating is limited and is on a first-come, first-served basis. Passengers must be at a designated stop for shuttle pick-up. The shuttle is for persons having official business with the University of California, including faculty, staff, students, interns, patients, and volunteers.
